Tracy, you are not alone. I just turned 37, and for the last 8 years I have been suffering of terrible moodswings, depresion, and anxiaty. My doctors prescribed me anti-drepressant but never got to the cause root of the problem, untill I took the initiative of getting a blood test to check my hormone levels...and Bingo!, the doctor said I had no early menopause, but premature menopause!. So I feel more relieve now of knowing the cause, so I could get the correct treatment. And no, you are not irrational.

I am 42 and had an early menopause 2 years ago. I didn't suffer too many physical symptoms (no hot flushes or sweats), a little weight gain and have been unable to have children. However, I am still suffering emotional symptoms or depression, anxiety and terrible moodswings plus tiredness and memory problems. Would be grateful to hear from anyone else suffering similar probs as sometimes I feel completely irrational.
